For EOS-Run Businesses

Organized the way your V/TO already thinks.

If you run on EOS, here's the good news: you've already done most of the hard thinking. Your V/TO already defines your Core Focus, your Core Values, your 3-Year Picture, and what makes your business different. This guide's job is simple: translate what's already in your V/TO onto the page your customers actually see.

The Fast Track, EOS-Style

Five sections, pulled straight from your V/TO.

  1. 01

    The Basics

Business name, tagline (try starting from your Core Focus statement and stripping internal jargon), contact info, service area / Geographic Target.

  2. 02

What You Do — Inside Your Core Focus

Your Core Focus already told you the most important thing for your website: what to leave out.

The exercise: for each thing inside your Core Focus, write it the way a stranger would need to hear it — not the internal shorthand.

  3. 03

Why You — Your Core Values, Demonstrated

Most "Why Us" sections say "quality, integrity, customer service" — words every competitor's site also uses.

The exercise: for each Core Value, find one real, specific example of it in action — a decision you made, a standard you held even when it cost you something.

  4. 04

    Proof

Reviews, named clients, photos. If your scorecard tracks something customers would care about (response time, retention), that's proof too.

  5. 05

    The Ask

The one action you want a visitor to take, pulled from your actual sales process.

The Core Exercise

The V/TO Translation Worksheet.

Pull up your actual V/TO and translate five things into stranger-facing language:

From your V/TO
On your website
Core Focus
Homepage Headline
Niche
Who This Page Is For
3-Year Picture
"Why Us" Section
Core Values
Proof Section
10-Year Target
The Long Game (optional)

The full guide includes the complete worksheet, a bonus chapter on why EOS shapes how we build (Clarity beats cleverness, Core Focus is a filter not a suggestion, Right Seats extend to your brand), and The Five Questions every page has to answer.
